The town and port 25 kilometers from Šibenik, that lies on the peninsula (former small island of Kopara). The location of Rogoznica is sheltered from the winds, and it is surrounded by beautiful beaches and pine forests. The building of the fort, the remains of which are visible on the top of the small island, was started by the French. The parish church is from 1615. The church of St. Nikola on the location of Stara Rogoznica is also preserved.>
